玩魔術學英文 Magic in English

課程介紹:

  修完本課程,學生將學習到如何以英文進行魔術表演敘事。此外,學生也會學到全方位的魔術,包括近距離、派對、及心靈,能適用於多種場合,諸如人際破冰或活動開場。又,學生也將學到如何以語言去影響他人的決定,並且能開始以截然不同的眼光,看待原本的事物,成為一位從骨子裏就有源源不絕點子的創意人。

Course Description:

After taking this course, students will learn how to use English as narrative in magic. Besides, they will become all-round amateur magic performers. They will learn various tricks, including close-up magic, parlor magic, and mentalism. What they learn can be applied to a variety of occasions, such as icebreaker for interpersonal relationship, opening for activities, and performance for ceremony.

In addition, students will also learn how to use language to influence other people's decisions. Furthermore, students will start to be able to see ordinary things from a brand new perspective and become genuine creative people.

第一天:魔術的觀念、歷史、術語

如果你嫻熟魔術史及相關知識,那麼就能為魔術效果注入敍事、甚至是靈魂。因此,本課程會先帶學生初步認識魔術自古發展的歷程。

此外,本課程也會帶領學生認識魔術的英文相關用語,比如魔術類型和效果的分類、每一張撲克牌的名稱、各種心靈術的說法等等。

以上都將以英文進行,伴隨即時的魔術表演與解說。

Day 1: The Idea, History, and Terminology of Magic

If you are familiar with the history of magic and related knowledge, then you can add narrative and even soul to the magic effect. Therefore, this course will first give students a preliminary understanding of the development of magic from time immemorial.

In addition, this course will also lead students to understand the terminology of magic in English, such as the classification of magic types, effects, the name of each playing card, the expressions of mentalism, and so on.

All of the above will be conducted in English and accompanied by real-time magic performance and explanation.

第二天:用英文敘述魔術故事

「說故事」是近年顯學。變魔術不只要表演好,敍事也很重要。因此,本課程也將示範敍事類的魔術,教學生把魔術變好的同時,也教他們如何用英文把一則故事說好。

Day 2: To narrate magic stories in English

"Story-telling" has become a major learning in recent years. Magic is not just about acting well, but narrative is also very important. Therefore, this course will also demonstrate narrative magic, teaching students how to tell a story well in English while performing.

第三天:驗收成果

學生必需輪流將學到的魔術,以流利的口條,和流暢的肢體動作,表演給大家看。藉由這過程,讓學生可以透過互相觀摩與修正來精進。

Day 3: Evaluation

Students will take turns performing magic tricks in fluent English and with elegant body movements. Through this process, students can improve by appreciating each other and receiving comments.
